Part 1 of the peanut butter series uncovered peanut butter that are made of roasted peanuts and a combination of added ingredients & additives such as sugar, salt, palm oil (and/or other types of oil whether hydrogenated or not) and/or emulsifiers. Most commercial peanut butter are made with these ingredients. Click here for Part 1 of the peanut butter series.

In Part 2 of the peanut butter series, we reveal the ‘purer’ range of peanut butter that are made of roasted peanuts and one other ingredient, either added salt or added oil. It is common to find a layer of oil at the top of these peanut butter when they have been left to sit undisturbed. The separation of oil is a natural process, stirring incorporates the oil back into the emulsion allowing the peanut butter to be spread with ease.
